It's safer to walk in an Afghanistan war zone than it is in West Garfield Park, Chicago. That's the struggle kids have to face living in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country. To generate awareness for the Off the Street Club and highlight how incredibly absurd it is that children need to be protected from bullets on a daily basis, we proposed the Bulletproof Book Vest.
I love shooting with film. Every shoot is a learning experience. There’s texture, there’s grain, there’s mistakes, there’s blur, there’s beautiful, brilliant color - with just one click. There is truth with film. No edits or regrets.
